Cardiac Calcium CT Score Screening
Get a Cardiac Calcium CT Scoring today! It is a great way to get a baseline look at your heart and have peace of mind for only $99, paid when you check in. (Since this is a Screening and not a diagnostic test, it is not covered by insurance plans.)
A coronary calcium scan is a non-invasive way to obtain information about the presence, location and extent of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries – the vessels that support oxygen-containing blood to the heart. Calcified plaque results when fat and other substances build up under the inner layer of the artery. This material can calcify, which signals the presence of atherosclerosis, a disease of the vessel wall (also called coronary artery disease). People with this disease have an increased risk for heart attacks.
A physician’s order is required for this test. This is a screening CT to look at your heart to see if you have any calcium buildup in your coronary arteries. It could even help prevent a possible heart attack in the future through early detection of a major calcium buildup.
Interpretations are done by Kansas Imaging Consultants. The diagnostic report includes: total and detailed cardiac calcium scoring, score summary, ranking guide and reporting of any incidental findings in the non-cardiac structures.
